Your kidneys filter toxins, waste and other impurities from your blood.
Like all filters, your kidneys can become choked with a buildup of particulates over time. This can lead to conditions like kidney stones and nephritis.
Pesticides, drugs, toxins, heavy metals, solvents and serious illness can damage the kidneys, resulting in disease and infection. The regular cleansing of the kidneys can help remove toxins and promote kidney health.
One method of cleansing the kidneys is the use of herbal teas.
Marshmallow root aids in cleansing toxins from the kidneys and removing kidney stones. Marshmallow root is also reputed for its ability to boost the immune system, ease cold and flu symptoms and relieve upset stomach.
Uva ursi has an antiseptic effect on the urine, and can be used to ease the pain and bloating that often accompanies kidney stones.
Couch grass for preventing kidney stones and inflammatory disorders of the urinary tract.
Astragalus is an herb that may be effective for treating your kidney failure and as been used in traditional Chinese medicine for thousands of years as a way to strengthen your body against disease.
